A new survey shows that the number of Americans who are "alarmed" about climate change nearly tripled from 11% in 2014 to 31% in 2019. The survey allowed people to choose from six categories: dismissive, doubtful, disengaged, cautious, concerned, and alarmed. The survey shows that 58% Americans are now either “Alarmed” or “Concerned” about global warming. The survey was conducted by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication and George Mason University's Center for Climate Change Communication.
