Newsicon1 City Council Approves Homeless Respite Center

The Davis City Council voted unanimously to move forward with a respite center for individuals experiencing homelessness in Davis at their meeting yesterday (12/17/2919).   The process of studying a respite center started 10 months ago in February 2019.  "The pilot daytime respite center aims to improve the quality of life for individuals experiencing homelessness in Davis. Open daily for eight hours, the daytime center will provide a safe, temperature-controlled, and welcoming space where individuals can access basic needs resources and services..."
